New York - The Storefront continues it's successful and critically-acclaimed Music Masters series this fall with "Beginnings: The Music of Brett Kristofferson." The cast for "Beginnings" includes: Phil Geoffrey Bond, Rebecca Burton, Scott Coulter, Eric Forand, Britta King, Robin Lyon, Karen Mack, Marina MacNeal, Nancy O'Keefe, Angela C. Shultz, Walker Vreeland, Danny Wiseman and Marcus Woollen. The production will be directed by David Leidholt, a member of the Lincoln Center Director's Workshop and acting teacher at the Professional Performing Arts School and The Actor's Institute.

Brett Kristofferson's music was first introduced to New York with "This Love," a revue of his music which garnered rave reviews and an extended run at THE DUPLEX in Greenwich Village in 1999. Since that time, Kristofferson's music has made it's way into a variety of performer's cabaret shows in New York, and his services as a trusted and capable Musical Director ("Bed, Boys and Beyond," "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"), have made him a sought-after young professional. Brett is the author of the original musicals "The Red House," "Anything for Jimmy" and "Insanities," and is a member of the Advanced BMI Workshop for Composers and Lyricists.

The Storefront was founded in December 2000 and is quickly becoming one of the hottest new companies in New York. The company's first ventures, "Taking the Wheel: The Music of John Bucchino," and "It's An Art: The Music of Stephen Schwartz," garnered rave reviews and sold out, downtown runs. In the wake of the World Trade Center Disaster, the company was pleased to present a special benefit for the WTC Disaster Relief Fund, which featured artists such as David Friedman, Anne Runolfsson, Alison Fraser, Stephen Schwartz and John Bucchino. Established with the intent of producing cabaret, musicals, plays, revivals, solo performance pieces and clever cocktail parties, the young company is off to a roaring start.
