CABARET COMES TO STATEN ISLAND WITH "LIVE MUSIC FROM THE LAWN"

Working together with Field Day Productions' Martin Silvestri on many new projects, r/j productions is excited to announce their first collaboration: the first "LIVE MUSIC FROM THE LAWN" Cabaret Series at THE HILTON GARDEN INN HOTEL (1100 South Avenue Station, Staten Island, NY - 718-477-2400). All performances will begin at 8:45 pm, with dinner seating beginning at 7:00 pm.

This team will be kicking off a series of "Thursday Summer Cabaret Nights," taking place in the outdoor garden at the hotel. A special dinner/show package is being developed as Staten Island gets a taste of five of cabaret's finest.

Christine Andreas kicks the series off June 13th at 9:00 pm. From "The Scarlett Pimpernel" to concerts throughout the country, Andreas is sure to get the series off to a grand start.

Lillias White is the next performer to headline in Staten Island on Thursday July 11th. Her recent hit show from FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - http://www.feinsteinsattheregency.com/) is sure to please the Islander's.

The series continues with Broadway's Liz Callaway singing some of the songs of the 60s as well as songs from her Broadway shows and CD's on Thursday, July 25th. Ms. Callaway, perhaps best known for her long-running performances in the Broadway Show CATS has also performed in cabaret both in solo appearances and alongside her sister, Ann Hampton Callaway.

Continuing in August, Klea Blackhurst's salute to Ethel Merman comes to The Hilton Garden on August 1st. Ms. Blackhurst was the 2002 MAC Award winner for "Female Vocalist," and performed her Merman tribute in cabaret and off-Broadway in New York City, as well as in Chicago as part of the recent Chicago Cabaret Convention.

Finally, on August 22nd, Donna McKechnie's "My Musical Comedy Life" will bring the islanders singing and dancing under the stars. Ms. McKechnie recently broke all attendance records in her appearances at the former ARCI'S PLACE in New York City. One of the original cast members of the long-running and ground-breaking Broadway hit "Chorus Line," she recently was awarded a BACK STAGE Bistro Award for her work in cabaret.
