FROM THIS DAY FORWARD - a new cabaret featuring the music and lyrics of Stephen Schwartz

To Be Performed Mondays in March at Don't Tell Mama

Ergo Theatre Company presents FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, a new kind of cabaret featuring the music and lyrics of Academy and Emmy award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, Hunchback of Notre Dame...). This will be Ergo's first foray into the cabaret world.

Conceived, created and directed by Ergo's Artistic Director Robert J. Cronin (award-winning "The Vicar's Wife," "Personals" 2001 revival, "La Boheme" National Tour, upcoming "Rags" concert with Anne Runolfsson) FROM THIS DAY FORWARD will run Mondays in March (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) at 9:15 pm. There is a $10 cover and 2 drink minimum.

The 55 minute long show features:

Jedidiah Cohen (B'way Dickon in "The Secret Garden," Ergo's "Personals" revival), Colin Hanlon (Off-B'way Fredric in "Pirates of Penzance") Robyn Lee (Paper Mill Playhouse's "Children of Eden") Johanna Pinzler (Ergo's "Personals" revival, Pasty Cline in "Always Patsy Cline" regionally). Charles Alterman ("Secrets Every Smart Traveler...") handles the musical direction and arrangements.

In FROM THIS DAY FORWARD Mr. Cronin has woven together over forty Stephen Schwartz songs (well-known and obscure) creating an entirely new story. In 55 minutes, the audience follows the journeys of four characters as they hurdle milestones to find fulfillment in life.

Ergo Theatre Company was established in 1997, as a not-for-profit producing group, to develop, workshop, produce and promote the work of new and rarely produced playwrights, directors, actors, musicians, and designers. We are founded on and grounded in the belief that artists must continually generate their own opportunities, and we do so by bringing together artists of various backgrounds and artistic interests to create fresh and inspired theatrical experiences in a cooperative environment.
