Broadway Veteran PJ Nelson in Cabaret at St. Clement's

The ST. CLEMENT'S CABARET ROOM (423 West 46th Street, NYC - Reservations: 212-246-7277 ext. 29 or stclementscabaret@yahoo.com) is proud to present Broadway veteran Pamela Jane ("PJ") Nelson for six weeks in her cabaret show "World Take Me Back." The show opens on Sunday, August 24th and will run for six consecutive Sundays through September 28th. All shows are at 6:00 PM. Ticket price is $10 (half price for MAC and CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members) and payable in cash at the box office on the evening of the event. There is no minimum but wine, beer, sodas and bottled water are available at the concession stand.

In "World Take Me Back," Ms. Nelson describes the experience of re-entry into the performance arena after an injury-imposed hiatus. Using the music of Harold Arlen and Jerry Herman, as well as the songs of contemporary songwriter and musical director Darryl Curry, Nelson has crafted a show with fascinating perspective. Her sincere and entertaining sense of humor, a big Broadway belt, and a sympathetic attitude towards the plight of the veteran actor will win your attention and your trust. At the end of" World Take Me Back," you'll hope the theater world will do just that.

Ms. Nelson has enjoyed a thirty year career on Broadway, Off Broadway, in Dinner Theater and Stock. She is a long standing member of AEA, SAG and AFTRA ® and she's fought for the unionized rights of people who make their living in the theater. She appeared in the 1978 revival of "Hello, Dolly!" with Carol Channing as well as in "The Music Man with Dick Van Dyke." She is recorded on the original cast albums of "The Secret Garden" with Barbara Cook, "PrettyBelle" with Angela Lansbury, and "So Long 174th Street" with Robert Morse.
