Miles Phillips' Show EXTENDED at MAMA ROSE'S

After and exciting and acclaimed run in November, Miles Phillips' new show THE UNREST INSIDE ME has been extended at New York's hottest new club MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/) with additional dates on Monday, December 8th at 6:00 pm, Saturday, December 13th at 4:00 pm and Sunday, December 28th at 7:00 pm. Phillips is teamed with award winning musical director and composer, Jason Wynn. The song list features an impressive range of material from showtunes and standards to pop and rock. There is a $15 cover ($10 for MAC and CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members) plus a 2-drink minimum.

Phillips' last solo show MIGHT AS WELL BE was widely acclaimed and enjoyed several extensions and culminated in a popular debut album. He co-starred with Richard Skipper and Parker Scott in the MAC winning CAROL CHANNING + 2 and his performance in the all star revue PRIVATE EVENTS IN PUBLIC PLACES was heralded as one of the season's best. He wrote and directed the smash hit revue of Shakespeare in song WORDS WORDS WORDS & MUSIC as well as made several special guest appearances to benefit various New York charities.

THE UNREST INSIDE ME grew from Miles' reflections on his "Life Upon The Wicked Stage" and the result is a joyous celebration of the journeys of the actor and the formidable challenges of balancing Art, Travel, Showbiz and Love.

Mr. Phillips is also known in the theater. A few of his recent critically acclaimed performances have included: Banco in the New York premiere of MACBETT, Ionesco's absurdest take on "The Scottish Play," Bassanio in both THE MERCHANT OF VENICE and the world premiere of its award winning new sequel THE DOCTOR OF ROME and Captain von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Recent studio cast album roles have included: Javert in LES MISERABLES, Albert in BYE BYE BIRDIE, Padre in MAN OF LA MANCHA, Amos in CHICAGO and Herbie in GYPSY.

Musical director Jason Wynn first met Phillips when he was cast as Feste in Tom Rowan's acclaimed 2000 production of TWELFTH NIGHT. Jason was serving as composer and musical director of the show and he set to work custom writing a half-dozen soaring Neapolitan ballads for Miles to sing. The production, the songs, Miles and Jason all enjoyed glowing reviews.
