allure, challenges and joy of moving on. Taking advantage of the incredible
diversity of the American songbook, the show melds contemporary rock
(Paul Simon, Mary Chapin Carpenter) with Broadway gems (Stephen Sondheim,
Stephen Schwartz) and all time favorites (Kurt Weill, Ira Gershwin).
Musical director is Paul Trueblood. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink
minimum. $10 cover charge
for CABARET HOTLINE MEMBERS.
Ms. Levine
is an exuberant singer with a lilting vocal quality who has received
acclaim and support from the cabaret community. She has performed
at venues including Judy's Chelsea, Don't Tell Mama, Sardi's, Tavern
on Camac and Montauk Theatre Productions and at private events in
Short Hills, South Hampton, East Hampton and Boston. Last summer,
Karen participated in the Cabaret Conference at Yale.
Paul Trueblood,
one of the country's best musical directors, accompanies Karen. His
credits include director/arranger for notables such as Matthew Broderick,
Comden and Green, Carol Lawrence and Jose Ferrer -- to name only a
few -- as well as personal pianist for lyricist Alan Jay Lerner, composer
Arthur Schwartz and director Joshua Logan. Paul recently completed
